Capstone Project

Synthesize key concepts from the Masters program and develop a management and leadership development program for a known entity. Include a process to foster the management and leadership skills of current and feature leaders within an organization. These skills would be employed to formal and informal leadership positions throughout the company and targeted towards a specific leadership audience. 

Reimagine the leadership pathway of the public education system.

Based upon the current ladder to administration in the public school system, this process had to be redesigned to be more accessible, increase transparency, fluidity in authority, and continued support for those interested. 

Create a comprehensive report that details: 

• Organization

• Current Leadership Pathway

• Re-design a Leadership Pathway including preparedness, training, target audience, developmental techniques, efficiencies, timeline, incentives, knowledge demonstration, metrics

Create and deliver a presentation to  key stakeholders proposing a new leadership preparation program.

New Leadership Pathway Program: 

1. Hold a Current Teaching Certification 

2. Attend an Administrative Interest Meeting (invited or self selected) 

3. Complete District Leadership Development Key Areas

4. Required Leadership Experiences

   1. Department Head 

   2. Committee Work 

5. Job Shadow a Current Principal 

6. Experiential Interview 

7. Apply and Complete an Administrative Certification Program
